Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 31 August 2026
Welcome to TigerTrail.in. These Terms & Conditions explain the rules and conditions applicable to the use of our website and to safari bookings, hotel reservations, tour packages, transportation arrangements, and other travel-related services facilitated through TigerTrail.
By using our website or making a booking through us, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions. Please review them carefully before completing any reservation.
1. About TigerTrail
TigerTrail is an independent travel and safari booking service that assists travellers with reservations and travel arrangements in and around Ranthambore and other destinations where our services are offered.
TigerTrail may facilitate services provided by hotels, safari operators, transport providers, guides, government authorities, and other third-party service providers. The terms, rules, availability, and operating conditions of those providers may also apply to your booking.
TigerTrail is not the Forest Department or the operator of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. Safari permits and entry permissions are issued and controlled by the relevant government authorities.
2. Booking & Reservation Conditions
- A booking is considered confirmed only after the required payment has been received and confirmation has been issued by TigerTrail or the relevant service provider.
- A payment receipt or booking acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that a government safari permit has been issued unless the permit/confirmation is specifically stated as confirmed.
- Customers must provide accurate information, including traveller names, ages, nationality, identification details, travel dates, and contact information.
- Any incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer may result in cancellation, denial of service, additional charges, or loss of the booking amount.
- Availability shown on the website may change until the booking is successfully confirmed.
- TigerTrail reserves the right to correct pricing, availability, or technical errors discovered before final confirmation.
- Special requests such as preferred vehicle, zone, hotel room, floor, bed type, guide, or seating arrangement are subject to availability and cannot always be guaranteed.
3. Ranthambore Safari Booking
Safari operations are governed by the rules and decisions of the concerned Forest Department and Tiger Reserve authorities.
3.1 Safari Permit
Once a safari permit has been generated and issued by the competent authority, it is generally non-refundable and non-transferable, except where the applicable government rules specifically provide otherwise.
The final vehicle, safari zone, timing, guide, and other operational details are subject to government allocation and availability.
TigerTrail does not have authority to guarantee a particular tiger sighting, animal sighting, safari zone, route, or specific vehicle unless expressly confirmed as part of the booking.
3.2 Gypsy & Canter Safari
Safari vehicles may include Gypsy or Canter vehicles depending on the service booked and the availability provided by the authorities.
If the authorities or local safari administration make an operational change to the vehicle or safari arrangement, TigerTrail will communicate the available information to the traveller.
Any refund arising from such changes will be governed by the applicable rules of the concerned authority and the terms communicated at the time of booking.
3.3 Tatkal / Current Availability
Tatkal or current safari reservations are subject to limited availability and government confirmation.
- Confirmation may be received close to the safari date.
- If a requested safari cannot be confirmed and no alternative service is accepted, the eligible booking amount will be refunded according to the applicable booking terms.
- Once the permit has been issued, the booking will generally become non-refundable.
- Service or processing charges, where applicable, may not be refundable.
3.4 Safari Cancellation Due to Park Closure
If a safari is cancelled by the competent authority because of an official park closure, severe weather, government restrictions, or another officially recognized operational reason, any refund will be handled according to the applicable government/safari operator rules.
TigerTrail cannot independently guarantee a refund where the authority or service provider does not provide one.
4. Monsoon & Scheduled Park Closures
Ranthambore Tiger Reserve may have seasonal and scheduled restrictions on safari operations.
Safari availability, zone availability, and operating dates can change according to Forest Department regulations, weather conditions, wildlife-management requirements, and government orders.
Travellers should verify the applicable operating schedule before making non-refundable travel arrangements.
5. Hotel Booking Terms
Hotel reservations are subject to the individual hotel’s availability and policies.
- Standard check-in and check-out times are determined by the respective hotel.
- Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may attract additional charges.
- Room categories are provided according to the category selected during booking.
- Room upgrades are subject to availability and additional payment.
- Special requests are not guaranteed unless specifically confirmed by the hotel.
- Hotel photographs displayed on the website are intended for representation and may differ slightly from the actual room or facilities.
- Hotel management may change room allocation for operational reasons while maintaining the booked category or an equivalent alternative where reasonably possible.
- Any additional services such as meals, room service, laundry, minibar, extra beds, or other facilities may be charged separately by the hotel.
6. Tour Packages
Tour packages may combine hotels, safaris, transportation, sightseeing, meals, guides, and other services.
The exact inclusions and exclusions will be specified in the package details or booking confirmation.
Package itineraries may be modified because of weather, government restrictions, road conditions, hotel availability, safari timings, local events, or other operational circumstances.
Where a change is necessary, TigerTrail will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative of comparable nature wherever possible.
7. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellation conditions depend on the service booked.
Tour Package Cancellation
Unless a different cancellation policy is specifically mentioned in your booking confirmation, the following general cancellation schedule may apply:
| Cancellation Before Arrival | Applicable Cancellation Charge |
|---|---|
| 30 days or more | 20% of booking value |
| 15–29 days | 30% of booking value |
| 7–14 days | 40% of booking value |
| 2–6 days | 50% of booking value |
| Less than 48 hours / No-show | 100% / No refund |
The applicable policy displayed at the time of booking will take precedence over this general schedule.
Safari Cancellation
Safari cancellation and refund eligibility are primarily determined by the applicable Forest Department and safari operator regulations.
A confirmed government safari permit may be non-refundable once issued.
Hotel Cancellation
Hotel cancellations will follow the cancellation conditions applicable to the specific property and room rate booked. Some promotional, discounted, prepaid, or special-rate reservations may be completely non-refundable.
Refund Processing
Where a refund is approved:
- The refund will normally be made to the original payment method.
- Processing may take approximately 7–14 business days after approval.
- Payment gateway, transaction, convenience, or service charges may be deducted where applicable.
- Government fees and third-party charges may not be refundable.
8. Payment Terms
TigerTrail may provide different payment options depending on the service and booking.
Customers may be required to pay either a partial advance or the full booking amount before confirmation.
A booking will not be considered fully confirmed until the required payment has been successfully received.
Prices may vary according to season, demand, availability, government charges, hotel rates, taxes, and supplier pricing.
If a government authority, hotel, transport provider, or other service provider increases a mandatory charge after the booking has been made, the additional amount may be payable by the traveller where applicable.
9. Identification & Traveller Information
For safari bookings, travellers may be required to present valid identification documents as prescribed by the Forest Department or other authorities.
The name and personal details provided during booking must match the applicable identification document.
TigerTrail is not responsible for denial of entry or cancellation caused by incorrect, incomplete, expired, or unacceptable identification documents.
Travellers should carry the original documents required for their safari and hotel booking.
10. Wildlife & Safari Disclaimer
Ranthambore is a natural wildlife environment. Wildlife sightings are unpredictable and cannot be guaranteed.
TigerTrail does not guarantee sightings of tigers, leopards, bears, crocodiles, birds, or any other particular wildlife species.
Safari routes, zones, timings, vehicle allocation, and entry conditions may be controlled by the authorities.

Such circumstances may include natural disasters, extreme weather, floods, fire, government restrictions, strikes, civil disturbances, road closures, epidemics, technical failures, park closures, transportation disruption, or other unforeseen events.
In such circumstances, refunds or compensation will depend on the policies of the relevant service provider and applicable law.
